About StreamClout

streamclout.io is an independent record of Spotify streaming activity — daily stream counts, monthly listeners and follower counts — published for anyone to read rather than sold as a closed dashboard.

Open by default

Streaming platforms measure a great deal and publish very little of it. StreamClout collects the public record every day and puts it in front of artists, managers, journalists and listeners, through the site and through a REST API running on the same data.

How the numbers are handled

Every figure traces back to a dated daily measurement. Where a measurement is missing, the page shows nothing rather than an estimate. Where a catalog change would manufacture a fake trend — an album re-released under a new ID, a track count that resets — the series is filtered rather than presented as growth.

What the site is for

Charts tell you what is large. The rest of the site is built to show what is durable: how quickly a release decays after its first week, whether a spike held, and how much of an artist's total comes from back catalog rather than the current single.
